I should start by saying I’m not knowledgeable in the automotive field so any input is great!

I currently have a 1990 Honda Accord and a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. The accord has a broken door latch (not the handle part), and the key mechanism in the ignition gets stuck on if I turn the key all the way. There’s a few other small issues but those are the big ones. I bought the cobalt because I wanted something with a working door and ignition to get me around, and then I could disassemble the accord door and ignition and take my time fixing it while having another car I can use. The cobalt isn’t ideal so when the accord is fixed, I’m wondering if I should sell the cobalt or the accord, or both and get a mid 2000’s Corolla or civic/accord when one pops up. Also the accord has 360000km and cobalt has 260000km roughly

Appreciate any advice!

If its between them, definitely keep the accord. If between those two and a newer corolla, definitely get the corolla. The accord is just as reliable as a newer corolla but it would be obd2 and r134 and better fuel mileage.
