Hello,

I just went to oilchangers, yes that’s the actual name of the establishment

They forgot to tell me that I need my car off during the oil change… I drive a 2020 Prius.

They said it was fine as long as it wasn’t spitting oil back out and the car is a hybrid system.

Am I being lied to? This is my first time getting one on my own

    We’re you sitting IN the car during the oil change? Is that how you know it was on?

    Or were you outside of the car during the procedure, and heard it running?

    Anyways, like the other comment said. It is a hybrid system, and if the car was on, but the engine wasn’t running, you are OK. If the engine was running at any time with no oil, it would be damaged.

    Either way I don’t think it’s your fault. But I wouldn’t recommend going back to this place. If they left the car running, they are incompetent. If they let you sit in the car while doing the work they are also incompetent.
