I just went to oilchangers, yes that’s the actual name of the establishment
They forgot to tell me that I need my car off during the oil change… I drive a 2020 Prius.
They said it was fine as long as it wasn’t spitting oil back out and the car is a hybrid system.
Am I being lied to? This is my first time getting one on my own
Did the engine actually kick on during any part of the oil change? Being a hybrid, the engine isn’t always on. If the engine never kicked on, technically, it’s fine, and everyone got lucky. If the engine ran at all during the process of not having full oil, then it’s experienced permanent damage. I hope you’re able to know if your engine was running or not
