Hi. I purchased 2020 used mazda 3. The Bluetooth connection works well on music but the Bluetooth can’t support android auto. I’ve connected my phone using USB but both of the front and between the seat USB ports don’t recognize the phone.

It seems like the ports are working - my phone is charging. Even if I change the phone connection mode to file transfer/android auto, it is only being charged. When I go to the entertainment source list, USB ports are grey and inactivated while it still charges my phone. I’m using the android cable and the same cable worked fine on my rental car.

I’ve deleted the other Android auto connection, reinstalled the app, deleted the Bluetooth connection but the USB android auto still doesn’t seem to work. Anyone has the similar issue? How did you solve it?

I have a 2020 Mazda CX 5, so not sure if the infotainment system is the same. Only ONE USB port can be used for AA and it has to be the one marked with a small phone symbol. For some reason, mine would not connect correctly, the AA would always be greyed out on the head unit… It would still work but I would need to initiate Maps to start the system.

I have since bought a Wireless AA dongle that works better but it is still not 100% functional…

My phone tells me to continue on the screen if the car to accept something except nothing is ever shown on the actual screen in the car.

My 2019 Jeep works much better and faster than my 2020 Mazda when it comes to the entertainment system!
