Maybe not too surprising on this one. I hear the range on these are not great especially if you drive them spiritedly. And given it’s a first gen product on a new tech, no one really knows what these will be worth 5 - 10 years from now.
I can tell you what it’s worth on 5 - 10 years time. Scrap metal value only. People forget these are just tech expositions and no one want to buy last years tech. As range extends, who will want to buy a vehicle that has terrible range (before even considering range depletion) and massive repair costs due to the Porsche badge. There is a reason there is literal football fields of EV vehicles parked up in China either zero resale value. They are all the model range that could go 200kms. And who wants that when a poor number is in the 350-400km range. In 5yrs time if it don’t go 600kms then there will be no market for the vehicle. But at least next years EVs will be green, so long as we ignore the wasted fleets of unsellable EVs with sunk and wasted materials.
