Its been a few months but I had sold my A90 Supra and R56 Mini and ordered an M2. Finally Took delivery on Saturday. Some things I gotta get used to and I certainly have to run through the break in period but so far, its been fantastic.

Couple notes after driving the Supra for 2+ years:

  • Handles its weight quite well, I wasn’t being super spirited but took it on some country roads and it was very well balanced with limited to no body roll. Just went where I was pointing it with no understeer.
  • Steering is very very light, as others have mentioned, its still in its “comfort” setting so I can see how it loads up in “sport” mode but something to get used to/learn
  • I like the screen/infotainment setup, will need to figure out my preferences for whats on screen when, but a lot of info is available when/where I want it. Pretty responsive, will use mostly apple car play for the foreseeable future but things are available if I want them.
  • shifter is…interesting. It has decent feel but I’ve mis-shifted once so its probably just something I need to get used to, though never did that in the mini
  • clutch is good if not a little high grabbing, just something to learn but haven’t stalled it and its not as “heavy” as my dads old 01 330i from back then
  • minor nitpick but I 100% prefer door “handles” rather than levers, just personal preference I guess
