Hello,
I’ve been researching for a remote starter for a manual transmission 2001 Toyota Echo.

I am complete new to this sphere so I fear I am not looking in the right place.

Any advice on a suitable remote starter for this car?

Remote start isn’t a good idea on manual cars since you would have to bypass the neutral safety switch and leave the possibility of starting the vehicle in gear open.

It can be done. Compustar was the original manual remote start company. The process is when you engage the parking brake, the rs takes over so you can remove the key and the engine stays on. Once you exit the vehicle and the last door is closed the system shuts off the engine. If no doors have been opened between then and the time you want to remote start, it still has to be in neutral and the remote start will function.

No safety systems are permanently bypassed otherwise.
