I bought a Lenovo flex in July 2033 and loved it. I’ve taken good care of it, but today I gently pressed the screen back into its tablet position (which I actually rarely do), and the left hinge just popped all the way out of place in front of the screen. Upon further research, this has been a common issue resulting in a class action suit against Lenovo. I did a brief search for 360 laptop models that don’t have this issue and managed to primarily find that the HP envy and Pavilion laptops have similar complaints. I really enjoy this laptop design (& have really enjoyed this Lenovo in particular), but I’m losing faith that it can or should be done.
Anyone know of a 360 laptop that can hold up over 2 years, or anything similar?
Thanks!
Would you be open to the Surface style laptops? Those are very sturdy since they don’t have any moving parts. Well, the keyboard can break, but they’re replaceable. Other companies with the same style are Dell XPS, Lenovo Duet, and Lenovo ThinkPad X12.
Galaxy 360. Two years and no problems at all in any respect.
15.6" Hp Envy hit the 3 year mark in August 2023. No issues with the hinges so far but DO NOT JINX ME. As always, ymmv.
