It has been out since 2019 and based on the previous gen release years (1, 2003) (2, 2008) (3, 2013) (4, 2019) there seems to be a refresh every five years except from the 3rd to 4th gen which is a 6 year gap.

It it worth it to get a 4th gen hatch now or will a new version come out in a year? What do you guys think?

The 3 is getting well behind the competitors in stuff like driver assists and fuel economy at this point since there have been no improvements in the last 5 years, if that matters to you. I wouldn’t expect a new model soon (or at all) as they haven’t said anything about a new 3 in their roadmap.
