It’s a step-change in transportation technology. Like going from a steam engine to a diesel-electric.
I like all the reasons you list except the trendy bit. Don’t give a shit about that. I also like that I don’t have to waste time at the gas station and can get it ready to go right in my garage.
It’s also quiet.
It’s also great for sitting in traffic, where you’re burning basically no power at all except a bit for climate control and entertainment.
