Been looking for an old car for a while. Found a barn find 1954 Hudson Super Wasp survivor, so it has the 262 straight six. Car looks to be in great shape. Has 52k miles. I’m not experienced in working on cars, but I can figure things out with good direction. Is the straight six a good engine or a scary proposition?
Straight sixes have been around for over 100 years. They’re reliable and simple to work on. Pour some oil in the cylinders and let it set a while before you turn the engine over by hand.
