I have had packet loss issues now for the past 4 days and I can’t fix it by rebooting or changing settings or replacing the cables. It’s either going to be a problem of my router or modem or ISP issues.
I’m calling them tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience if they can even help me with this stuff?
Also was looking into replacing my modem (not router) but it’s hard to find one with the coaxial connection that my house has (the current modem has RF out connection with a coaxial cable)
I have.
When I moved in with my wife in Kentucky, I asked them how much was they paying for which speeds and when I showed them the actual speeds was so slow nothing was loading up, I called the ISP and numerous issues was fixed from the phone jack being burnt up to the nodes being faulty.
Telling the techs what you done helps pinpoint the issues especially if it’s their lines going to the nodes.
Check the Ethernet cable between the modems and router if it is 2 separate devices if your supposed to get over 100 mbs and from the looks of it you aren’t breaking it check that cable it may be damaged or not able to get you a faster speed then 100
But the speed isn’t really the problem it’s just the packet loss? And it’s been working fine for 2 weeks with my setup and then it randomly started giving me packet loss 🤔
