02 mustang stuttering when warm, around 2.5k to 3.5k epm and then takes off, it’s mostly fine when cold.

I did open headers then realized I need my o2 sensors so I cut of my cats on my exhaust and hit the converter part out(idk why). And put them on with only the upstream sensors hoping that is would fix the stuttering.

Is it because of no back pressure?

Bad fuel filter or pump, I have just replaced my distributor because one lead wasn’t working. But should be fine now, Amazon cheap.

Mind you as soon as it hits 3.5k it takes off.

The engine/ECU has 2 modes of operation; Closed Loop (rpm = idle – ~3.5k) (sensors) and Open Loop (rpm = >3.5k) (map).

Your mods (O2 sensors) may have impacted the closed loop mode of operation. Try searching the mustang forums with respect to performing a de-Cat for your year/model.
