So I’m trying to replace a couple sensors in my car and was wondering if they need to be reprogrammed if they are aftermarket parts??? (I’m not trying to completely cheap out… rather buy high quality, but affordable)
The sensors are:
●O2 SENSORS ●MAP SENSORS ●CAMSHAFT SENSORS ●CRANK SHAFT
Don’t even bother buying aftermarket sensors.
If you do, you should ask the sensor manufacturer this question, not us.
If you don’t know how to reprogram them, don’t replace them yourself.
Ty I’ll keep this in consideration
Why are you replacing these sensors to begin with?
So my car started shaking when I start it or when it’s in idle.
I didn’t do anything until a month later where I began to change the spark plugs and then the ignition coil because I found out the 4th cylinder was misfiring.
Shakings gone, but now my gas mileage is really bad.
So I figured I needed to look more into sensors, especially the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor and the Oxygen sensor. ( car model do not have the MAF sensor )
I knew nothing about cars, but as soon as things started breaking down I became an “expert” lol 😅 not really though
