    Honestly? Good for them.

Intellectual property is good for us in the western world, as we hold all the patents. But for developing countries it’s incredibly restrictive. Not to mention the absolute ban on chip manufacturing the Chinese are subject to by the USA.

So what’s the outcome? I see a lot of racism in this thread, this isn’t a “china is going china” thing. It’s a “China is trying to develop its own industry and they will break intellectual property laws if necessary”. I mean, it’s kind of cruel to expect them to work for 20-30 years to achieve something that as humans we’ve already figured out? Idk.

Meanwhile you see the same kind of people defending AI companies that basically do the same. Lol.

Intellectual property is unfair to developing countries. Period. Also, the smartphone industry has gotten a huge boost not just thanks to apple but also thanks to china for “stealing” so they can develop the industry enough to the point where they can be at the same level or ahead.

And then you realize what they will use all this stolen technology for and also i guess you just like other governments have forgotten that china is by no means a developing country. Stop sucking chinas dick, you wont get a massive social credit boost by doing it. Your view about we as humans have figured out long ago expects the world to be a peaceful utopia which it unfortunately isnt. There is more than just political reasons as to why the restrictions to china is in place. Also just because a patent is in place doesnt restrict developing nations from making their own designs, you are just excusing stealing with a shitty argument and aren’t even looking at the whole thing realistically and live in a fantasy world that doesn’t exist.
