What do you mean by “better”? I can text, listen to music, and use GPS exactly the same on both of them. Everything else is personal preference.

Nah they got just as many fingerprints and usually ended up with silver edges from wear within months.

I miss feeling like my phone was more cosmetically durable with the aluminium body compared to the glass backs we have now. No idea if it’s true at all but the feeling remains the same.

Bro for years I’ve been saying that I’d love a full matte stainless steel iPhone Pro Max… I literally have never liked or used wireless charging. So having a glass back doesn’t benefit me at all in the slightest. Metal backs also dissipate the internal heat better than glass too acting like one giant heat sync not even talking durability. I’d easily rock my phones caseless with a screen protector only if I had the same squared off design with an all steel body. Back glass is the most expensive repair anyways. I will never use wireless charging plus it degrades your battery faster due to increased heat cycles. It makes me honestly regret using cases on my old 6s plus and 7 plus. The only thing keeping me from going caseless on my 14 pro max is the back glass… if it had all metal it would be naked giggity. They should honestly make a model like this purely for those that don’t care for wireless charging at all. Many people don’t ever use it, many people do, but give us an option as a more durable iPhone in exchange for wireless charging, and keep the way the phones are now for those that need/ want wireless charging. Best of both worlds. Durability is far more important to me than wireless will ever be.

I’ll go further. I don’t need water resistance, either.

A fast phone with ports, clicky physical buttons, lightweight metal casing, bezels, top power button, a physical home button, and flush camera lenses. Plus, add a physical button to immediately engage the camera and take a picture.

A big and powerful 5S, basically, with a dedicated camera button.

I think the aluminum they use now is more resistant to cosmetic damage.

I go caseless + screen protector since my first iPhone and I remember having a lot of chipped aluminum or dents on my 6S 3 to 4 months in.

The 14 Pro i’ve been using for the last 14 months is literally brand new.

Glass back feels much more premium, I wouldn’t go back to all aluminum tbh.

My iPhone 14 Plus looked so fragile, it is clad in a protective case. I don’t remember what color I got.
