Started up the car, idled for ab a minute or so, and began accelerating down the road. Upon acceleration, Vehicle experienced hesitation, didn’t shift, then stalled resulting in loss of power steering and brakes. Then restarted and heard loud hissing from EGR area.

Replaced the gasket and sound persisted.

Car then ceased being able to start. Unplugged EGR terminal and car was able to run. Drove to safe place car would not exceed 10-20 mph and would cut out past maybe 10% throttle.

Replaced EGR valve today and problem still persisted. (I fired the parts cannon and paid the price)

After removing the hose to the EGR valve, (from manifold) and leaving it to side, car started better and picked up some power (still very very low on power)

I have not had the chance to perform any smoke test or vacuum test, and only pre existing DTC is for bank 2 low cat warm up efficiency P0431

Honestly at a loss and wondering if anybody knows what could explain the symptoms before I sidetrack myself more. Exhaust restriction? PCV?

Sounds like your cat is plugged. Unhook the exhaust in front of the cat and see if it’s gets better.
