Was recommended this laptop by a Best Buy employee:

I plan to use it about 50/50 for video editing and games. Having 1TB of SSD, 16gb of RAM, and a 4070 at this price *seems* to be a great deal compared to other options. I looked into it and found out that the RAM is DDR4, not DDR5.

Should that be a dealbreaker, or is the rest too good to pass up for the price?

    I mean, it’s a laptop I’m not expecting that big of a screen anyway. I’ll still take a look at it though, but not sure I wanna spend the extra $300 just for that.

      Fan system and build quality were also major factors. Helios has aluminum lid and the body around the keyboard. Only the underside is plastic, but that is better for heat dissapation. The reason razor batteries always bloat is probably because they cook against the aluminum underside. So this doesn’t have that issue either.

      But it’s up to you. If you just want performance in games then the tuf will be ok. But for long gaming sessions in the heat a good fan system will do wonders.
