I have a 2013 320d f30, it’s done 93k miles is it worth spending 1k+ to get the timing chain changed and If I was to get it changed how much would the lifespan of the car increase in terms of mileage?
Timing chain has a bunch of “while we’re in there” sort of things, so do those too. Timing chain guides, tensioners, water pump, seals and gaskets, etc. it’s going to be a decent amount over the 1k, but it’ll be cheaper long run
Thankyou I’ll take that into consideration, I might get the clutch done while the engine’s out I know it’ll be expensive but I’d rather take the hit than have a big breakdown
Where you getting your chain and guides done for inly1k?
Was going to ask this as well. I’ve never seen a timing chain job on a BMW for less than $4000.
