Can I save my car?

I have a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP that just had the ABS module go out. This part has been discontinued by gm for several years. We have tried reprogramming other modules but due to a firewall inside the ECU it won’t take. The only solution we can think that would work would to get the exact part from the same year make/model. We are looking into getting a new wiring harness to bypass it completely to see if that would work. If anyone has advice or suggestions I would love to hear something. I’d hate to total the car after replacing the motor and transmission.
