I’m trying to turn my first bike into a bobber style bike. I need a new gas can, seat, exhaust, and headlight. I’m new to the bike building world so any help will be very much appreciated! (Picture is of the current situation)

Bobbed bike: strip off all non-essentials or legally required.

After that step, re-evaluate the legally required bit.

A lot of people put on peanut tanks and spring seat, and cut the rear fender in half. In reality, you can bob a bike without spending a single dollar, as it’s literally removing from and not adding to the bike.

Unless you’re pulling it out, I wouldn’t bother, but engine degreaser is great, brake clean works well but a law recently passed and chlorine is no longer in it, or much less? I don’t remember, making it a lot worse than it used to be

Makes sense! I restore classic cars for my job and was gonna bring the bike to bike shows for work. I’ll probably haul it to work and pull the engine out and clean it!

I used a stock front fender turned around and cut short on my roadstar build. Check my post history for pics. It turned out really well, in my opinion.
