I’ve always loved the looks of the Z3 ever since childhood and in my mid twenties I decided to bite the bullet and buy one as a sunny day toy/ project car. With the internet being the internet you will come across so many varying opinions… so… here’s mine…

DO IT!!

Now for transparency, I’ve never driven a 6 pot Z3, however I have now had the pleasure of driving a 1.9 and can say hand on heart how fun it is to thrash around. I work in a garage and have driven many different cars, many different engines, FWD, RWD, AWD but nothing has put a smile on my face like this little car.

The best word I can use to describe it is “peppy”. Is it fast? No. Not fast in the sense of you will be breaking any records, but it’s responsive throttle and light chassis makes you constantly push it to its limits. It’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

You simply can’t go wrong in my eyes with the 1.9 Z3
