Hello I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the current situation I’m in.So I had bought a 2017 Honda Accord EX-L 2 years ago at 42k miles. When the other day I started hearing a slight knocking from under the hood I didn’t think too much of it due to the fact I had got an oil change and diagnostic like a month prior. Then yesterday me and my friends went to a location 25 minutes away fairly quick on the highway to grab something because we wanted to return to the location we were just at fairly quick so maybe going like 90 max. After then we grab what we need I fill up the tank then shortly right after we leave the gas station we hear the engine slip and then the engine started to knock loudly and would also die on us while we are driving the car so then we had to leave it somewhere over night because after we parked it up somewhere for a little it wouldn’t start back up.Then I had it towed this morning and the mechanic told me what I already knew and the engine was done for. What I can’t understand is how this would happened when I took fairly good car of the car I would also get a diagnostic every time I get a oil change and the dealership said the car was perfectly fine every time even last month.
Maybe the previous owner skipped oil changes and it was already hanging on by a thread when you bought it?
That’s what happens to leased vehicles from women! Lol
But what I’m not understanding is how the dealership telling me the car is perfectly fine and it was a Honda dealership at that.
