I have a ROG FLOW X13 GV301QH MB._16G/R7-5800HS, been using it for 2 years on a daily basis.

Yesterday i plugged it after the battery was fully drained and it didn’t get charged before that it was working completely fine. Then today i took it to service centre and they handed over a repair cost of ₹70000(840$).The laptop itself costs around ₹100000(1200$). A local shop told me that the power supply is short and there would be a repair cost of ₹25000(300$)

I am in Delhi, India. If someone knows a better solution please help.

And also if someone can help me get my data from the ssd. I don’t t know the model.

Easiest way to know problem. If laptop has a light for battery, connect the charger and see if light turns on. If it flashes orange then indication means problem is the battery itself not the charger.

Some repair shops blame it is charger or a component on the motherboard and charges high price to scam. But real cause is just the battery itself that needs to be replaced and nothing else.

This is why going to a 3rd party repair place can be sketchy some times, some are unskilled have no idea what they are doing. While others knows what they are doing and do not scam customers.
