I’ll start with the Porsche 997, the 996 looked alright imo, but it looks “like a 90s Porsche”, the 997 made it look sleeker and more modern. Still looks good today.

As for cars that looked worse after a facelift? Maybe the facelifted 6th gen Camaro? The 6th gen looked great pre-facelift, but they did something weird with the headlights and now it looks so-so…

    I’m sorry, but all of what you said is incorrect.

    1. Audi and Mercedes-Benz do facelifts all the time. (2014 -> 2015 A8, 2017 -> 2018 S-Class)
    2. BMWs only recently started looking worse with facelifts. Before, they were usually majorly improved (2005 -> 2006 7 Series, 2008 -> 2009 3 Series, 2010 -> 2011 X5)
    3. Lexus had pretty large facelifts in the mid-2000s, when it began deploying its fuller spindle grille, but recent and prior facelifts have actually been pretty subtle (2009 -> 2010 GS, 2021 -> 2022 ES, 2019 -> 2020 GX)
