I’ll start with the Porsche 997, the 996 looked alright imo, but it looks “like a 90s Porsche”, the 997 made it look sleeker and more modern. Still looks good today.
As for cars that looked worse after a facelift? Maybe the facelifted 6th gen Camaro? The 6th gen looked great pre-facelift, but they did something weird with the headlights and now it looks so-so…
2017 Nissan GTR facelift was really good in my opinion.
I personally didn’t like the 2019 Audi R8 facelift, I think the 2018 looks better.
I….actually really love the gtr facelift for this year. Hated that grille.
I feel the exact opposite. The 2024 makes the grille look tiny and the body colour piece in the middle just makes me think of the dodge charger
The Nismo makes it look like an R34, the base looks awful.
The fake vents to the 2017 front end has made me lukewarm about it but, the front spoiler, side skirts and the rear end with the LED taillights really look good.
It’s just the ones by the fog light that are fake right? They’re small enough that I don’t mind them and I think it’d look worse without them. It also doesn’t look like it’d do much if it were real anyway
Yea just the ones by the fog lights. Correct, they’d have no functional use if they were real. The previous years didn’t have fake vents. Just unfortunate that they introduced fake vents on a car that didn’t originally have them in that area. Also, being an expensive vehicle I figured they could have come up with something a little better design wise.
Yeah, the old one just had the fog light with no surrounding detail. I do still think the new design looks better, even if it’s a fake vent, but I can agree that they could have come up with something better
Only surrounding detail was the grooves in the bumper introduced in 2012 versus the flat look in the original design.
