I drive my e36 more than my daily that is way faster and more comfortable (2008 v6 accord) and its mainly because its so much more fun and engaging to drive with a manual.
If I want to shut my brain off or I have to take a roadtrip with hella highway, I drive the ol’ reliable, transportation appliance, I.E Accord.
TLDR: Three pedals with one clutch is better than two pedals with two really fast clutches.
I’ve driven a manual for over 15 years. I prefer the DCT in my F80. It’s nice to have a break in congested city commute traffic. if you’re turning your brain off with an automatic, then that’s on you.
