Im switching to air cooled oil cooler sometime next week for im afraid the coolant in my original oil cooler would leak and make their way into the gearbox. But i do want to compare the temperature on both settings. How?

Sorry i dont really know what they call it. My oil cooler was this one thing with 4 hose. 2 for the gear oil another 2 for coolant. They all meet but not mixed of course inside that cooler. Downside of this is the cooler might rust kr break thuz making the coolant mixed with the atf oil. And no way i can tell that it is happening. So as a safety measure im gonna redirect the atf oil to a new air cooled cooler which looks like a radiator so that coolant can never ever get into the gearbox. Im gonna install it with an extra fan. But i wanna know the temperatures before and after the replacement. If lets say the temp is higher, then i should just buy a new oil cooler thats the same liks right now and change it again in a few years and so on.
