A lot of people hate on “NPC” colors like white, black, grey, and I’ve even heard blue.

I think there’s nothing more “NPC” than to pick a different (and sometimes ugly) color just for the sake of being different. It reeks of “I need to feel special”. If you love a specific yellow or green on your car that’s great but if you’re just doing it to avoid having an “NPC” color, you’re the NPC.

I know this post will be unpopular because the r/cars take is “grey bad!” so I expect a lot of downvotes by the “actually my Civic is orange because I’m just so exciting as a person totally not boring!” crowd

I have a ceramic grey car. I wanted that color since it started to get popular a few years back. I absolutely love how those ceramic colors look on most of the cars, even though it is really popular to see, I still like it.

I collect pocket knives and I have a type. I like subdued grays and blues. It’s just a preference and what other people think or like has no bearing on how I spend my money.

I certainly don’t want a car that sticks out to the police or anyone else, but I know many do. Does not bother me in the least that some do.
