I just bought a 2019 Mazda3 and have not been able to connect CarPlay or Mazda Connect. I tried rebooting the infotainment system by holding down the navigation, music, and mute buttons for 20 seconds and it does nothing. I tried using the USB cable in both ports and there’s no difference. Is there an easy fix to this or do I have to go to the dealer?

you could try disconnecting the battery for 5-10 minutes, that’ll typically fix some software glitches in modern cars. if that doesn’t work then i’d take it to the dealer

Do you have the base trim Mazda3 sedan? CarPlay wasn’t available on the base trim on the Mazda3 sedan.

What happens when you connect the iPhone to the USB cable? Does it charge? Is the iPhone available as an Entertainment source?

Do you have Siri enabled on your phone? Are you using a licensed Made For iPhone cable? If Siri is disabled, CarPlay is unavailable and if you’re not using a licensed cable, there’s a chance it could only support charging and not data.
