Yep, it blew my mind too. It’s a “sky island” where the elevation is high enough that the climate changes and trees can grow. It was crazy because I was in rocky desert just minutes earlier, about 70 degrees, then I go up the mountain and there are patches of snow on the ground and it was 34 degrees.
That sounds so awesome, sounds like a really exciting ride I am so jealous haha I live in Texas and it is alllll Texas everywhere you go for like 6 hours in any direction haha ride on my friend!! Ride on!!
I live in Texas too, gotta hit the twisted sisters or head out to Big Bend for good riding in state. If you make it out to Vegas, look into Hertz Ride motorcycle rentals, it’s surprisingly affordable.
