Is this a rare Toyota? Is the price worth it?

Pretty clean but I got a rust free well maintained 1994 80 series for around 10k with 180k miles and sometimes I feel like I overpaid but all good because it’s a 80 series Land Cruiser 😍

For 20k you can buy a low mileage FJ Cruiser or 2010-ish 4Runner. An 80’s Landcruiser is not worth 20k to anyone except a collector… which I doubt you are because you’re asking this question.

The Hawaii tax 😂 classic. Everyone here seems to think they’re million mile Toyota truly held it’s value for the last 25 years . I wouldn’t touch a single vehicle that spent that long it the crude salt air

Something is up with that vehicle. The person posting the ad is clearly not a car person by some of the terms/ phrasing they used IMO.
Those tires look bald AF too. That will run you another 10% of list right off the bat.
Be sure to have it checked out by a mechanic you trust if after your own inspection you consider going forward.
The motor from a 1993 land cruiser should have lasted much longer before needing a rebuild if it was properly maintained and/or not aggressively used.
So IMO it was either used aggressively and I would be worried about other mechanicals like steering and transmission OR it was not maintained in which case I would still be worried about other mechanicals.

If you have to ask whether an 80-series cruiser is good, I have two things to say:

    1. yes.

    2. it’s probably not what you want.

The 1993 fj80 is a very nice vehicle, but $20k is a very nice number to have in your bank account. If you can afford it, and you want it, it’s worth it to you. You will never profit from reselling it, and you can probably get equal enjoyment out of a different vehicle for the same price, or a similar vehicle for a lower price, but that’s your decision to make.
