Alternator not charging at high rpm.

2004 Silverado 1500 5.3l.

I recently replaced my alternator because the bearings in it went out.

I have noticed that the new alternator stops charging at 3000rpm and higher. The original one did not do this. Did I buy a bad alternator? Cheapest one from advance auto parts. Any help is appreciated.

Most likely the new alternator is junk. I’ve seen this happen on similar gm models at higher rpm’s do the same thing.
