Whatever works! Built a ‘42 (of course) WLA in the 3rd floor room of a Navy barracks. Made a paint booth out of the spare bedroom of a rented mobile home. Machine shop - lathes and drill press- was in the kitchen. And rebuilt a Fiat 124 transmission in the bed of Dad’s pickup truck under a canvas “tent”.
