This is what I found this morning on my 2011 Kia Soul. I seem to have no electricity and the the rear hatch is locked, although the other doors were not.

I’ve called around to a couple of mechanics trying to get it fixed. One of them commented that I might still have to take it to Kia to have it “reprogrammed”. I don’t think I have an anti-theft “immobilizer” installed on the car. Will I actually have to go to the dealership for this repair. I can’t get the dealership’s repair shop to call me back.

    Everyone saying to get rid of your soul here is ignorant. That year specifically is one of the best cars Kia ever made. Super reliable engine and transmission, good gas mileage, etc…

    I don’t think you would need to go to the dealer for it, but not every mechanic would be willing to touch it you should just start calling places and asking.
