Hi, This might be a topic that gets asked a lot but I didn’t see the answer in any of the threads I looked at until now.

I just got a used remarkable 1 that came without a pen, and have been looking at alternative pens for it (specifically the staedtler noris, the one that looks like a pencil). I’ve heard that the pen itself will work on RM1 but will the eraser function work? And if not, are there other good alternatives that have an eraser function, or did support for erasers come out in RM2?

I got only a vague answer from remarkable chat when I asked about backwards compatibility

    Thanks! I ended up buying a pen without en eraser in the end, it seemed like a better solution than having a pen with an eraser that may or may not have worked (it’s for a gift, and it was important for me that what I gave actually worked, ideally out of the box). We’ll see at Christmas if it was a good decision or not 😅
