All little girls are wonderful, but there are some who are downright heroic! It warms my heart so much to see a little girl who she’s someone’s life, or stands up against injustice. Do you have any heroic little girls who you partially admire?

One of my favorites is Samantha Smith, from the United States! In December 1982, when she was 10 years old, she wrote a letter to the new leader of the Soviet Union, Yury Andropov, expressing her fears of nuclear war and her hopes for peace. To the surprise of everyone, he actually wrote back, inviting her to visit his country as his guest.

Her trip was strongly covered on both sides of the Iron Curtain, illustrating the shred humanity and our shared hopes for peace.

After her trip, she continued to campaign tirelessly in pursuit of peace. She is just so beautiful and perfect and wonderful 🥲
