    Such BS from GM. Had a reservation for one of these, now it’s years late and $10s of thousands more. Screw Ford and GM saying there’s lower demand while they overcharge and under deliver

    I had one of the earliest possible reservations. Found a way to access the reservation page before it went live (GM used the same website naming structure as they had for the Lyric). My confirmation came at 11:24am eastern time. I just cancelled a couple weeks ago. I was tempted just to keep it until it was time to confirm just to see when it would be, but hopefully this helps someone get theirs a little bit sooner.

    I have had my Rivian for about 17 months now and as nice as the range of the Silverado would be for long trips or tows, I just don’t need it, and I love the size of the R1T. If the R1T had a midgate it would be the perfect truck but even with the shortish bed, it has worked great for me. The Silverado was always my backup (even though I have only ever owned Chevy trucks).

    I wish GM luck but they have really fumbled this launch. The Blazer and Equinox debuted later and will launch first, which I guess makes sense based on the market size for small SUVs, it is just disappointing for Silverado EV reservation holders.

    I almost get the feeling that GM and Ford are waiting for the next gov to rollback EV adoption etc so they don’t need to bother building anything at all

    I cancelled my Silverado EV reservation back in September and ONLY got the check in mid November. I had to reach out to the GM EV Concierge department to get any kind of response from the local Chevy dealership cause they claimed they don’t know how to handle the accounting and print a check! B!tch please, print the check and figure out the accounting on your time!
