And nothing bad has ever happened to it. It looks brand new and is always clean. Does anyone not shower with it?

I have to take it off to charge some time. Best time is when it would be in my way scrubbing my skin

First, as others have written-this is when I charge it. And second (and from experience with my Series 4)-it tends to build up impurities from the minerals and the hardness of the water.

I usually charge it while I get ready in the morning, but every few days I will shower with it to clean it

I shower with mine after a mountain bike ride to clean the sweat and grime from the watch and band. So generally a couple times a week.

I do not. I put it on the charger before I shower and then while I dry my hair and by the time I’m ready to go to bed I pop it back on.

I swim nearly every morning and take long hot showers daily. Have for years. Nothing ever happened to my watch. This comment section is the first time I’ve ever heard people say hot water and shampoo could damage

I never do. I’d have too much anxiety over it. I don’t trust their water resistant claims. Then if it’s out of warranty and water makes it’s way in, I’m screwed. Then there goes $400+ dollars. May as well wash the whole wrist if you’re already showering.

I always have. Been using Apple Watches since series 3 and never had a water problem. I’ve always swam with them too. In pools and in the ocean.

I’ve been swimming with my Apple Watch since the Series 1 and have never had any issues.

I’m looking to get an Apple Watch, should I just get the latest series one when I do? Also does stainless really matter or just go default?
