This is just a direct result of the strike activity. Internally they are in complete alignment that Eevee is the future and the execution toward that has not diminished. They’re Also occupied with bringing new manufacturing facilities online that will streamline EV production, which is taking higher priority than this project. We can expect with each subsequent gasoline price bike, of which there will be many in the next two years the progression to electric vehicles will accelerate and think about it is, it’s like a snowball running down a hill, once it really gets rolling, it’s going to go nuts. The reason is that gas stations operate on such low margins, so in order to keep operating, for every percentage that the market turns to electric vehicles, the gasoline price will go up by corresponding percent. That is the reason it’s inevitable, that is the reason once it really gets going the manufacturers that are positioned for it are going to win. The snowball isn’t rolling fast enough down the hill yet, but I fully expect Ford to drop the hammer on this one in about 12 months.

I have an electric car and a gas car.

The electric is far superior. Hands down the Tesla is better than any other car I’ve driven.

That said. I’ve tried other brands of electrics and they are garbage. As long as they sell expensive garbage, they won’t get any market share.

Exactly. Most people cannot afford the upfront cost. Some of the newer electric cars (non-Tesla) for 2023 rank the bottom in terms of reliability. Namely the Hyundai Kona and F-150 Lightning. They are just overpriced junk.

I have an Audi for a gas car. Nice car. It’s feels archaic next to my Tesla. I drove their 150k electric car and the Tesla is just so much more advanced.

It’s hard to explain but the Tesla just drives differently.

The Audi requires a lot manipulation to do what I can do on the Tesla with a touch.

The idea if take a car and make it electric is broken. You need to elevate the experience like Tesla did.

Hardly surprising given that ICE cars are cheaper due to the comparatively high supply of them, and the subsidization of ICE cars. Even I, as leftist as I am will readily agree that EVs are terrible. They’re better than ICE because they don’t contribute as much emissions, lower emissions is better than high emissions. But at the end of the day they’re cars (inefficient, polluting transportation) when we have better options than both ICE and EVs (rail, biking, walking, busses).

I live in a major city. My place of work is about a 10 minute drive by car. By public transportation the only option is an hour long, two bus trip. In a major city, this shouldn’t be the case. I should be able to hop on a train and get to work in a comparatively similar time. Until that changes, we are stuck with EVs (bad) and ICEs (worse).
