Due to factors beyond my control I was unable to drive my car for 4 weeks. I know you should drive it and get the oil up to 200 degrees at least once every two weeks, but there was nothing I could do.
Should I be concerned, and/or what should I watch out for? When I took it out for a short drive this morning it did feel a little sluggish to me, but it’s entirely possible that is in my head.
It’s a 2022 992 if that matters.
Common sense friend, it’s fine
I continue to be amazed how the average Redditor makes it thru day to day life. OP I have to know what you do for work to be able to afford a 992.
Car isn’t made out of cheese. Just drive it!
I have a couple Porsches that go to sleep at Thanksgiving and don’t move a goddam inch until the spring gully washers take the salt away. Trickle charge those bitches. Who ever told you 200 degrees every few weeks is totally full of shit.
I daily and track drive a 2022 992 TS - don’t sweat it. Worst case, it won’t start and you have to jump it.
As others have mentioned, the main problem is that your battery could die. As part of that, I recall some advice I read somewhere that said to be careful when you open the door manually. Typically the window goes down a bit when you open the door. However, if that battery is dead, it won’t do that. Unfortunately I forgot the fix to that problem. Just be careful when opening the door.
