Car: 2022 Honda Civic Touring

Car had to be jump started on Saturday, 2 days ago. I ran a few errands stopping & starting just fine that evening & Sunday. Today (Monday) it took 3-4 tries to get it to start - but it didn’t need a jump. I had the battery tested at O’Riley, and they said it did need replacing. I was able to purchase a battery, but they said it was too complicated for them to install at the auto parts place.

I’m slammed with work tomorrow & Wednesday & really don’t have time to take it somewhere for battery install. I’m planning to travel about 2 hours on Thursday for Thanksgiving, and 2 hours back Friday. Will my car make it until then? I have a battery jump starter that I can use. But would it potentially get so bad it wouldn’t jumpstart over the next 3-4 days?

You’re potentially risking the engine stopping en route. Imagine how long you’ll wait for assistance on Turkey Day.
