I have a 2001 Toyota Highlander with a leak somewhere in a lower engine seal. I got a quote of between $1200-$1600 to repair it. Is using a “Stop Leak” oil treatment product a good idea just to keep squeaking by. The vehicle runs just fine otherwise and I just want to avoid coughing up the money for a large repair like that if possible. Thanks in advance for any advice.

It did kinda work for my 2007 Yukon Denali w rear engine seal leaking. Had to add it after every oil change. Minimized the leaking though until I sold it (full disclosure to buyer)
