Hello!

I’m planning to drive a Volkswagen ID3 for 670km in Sweden (Stockholm to Åre) in late December, where it is common to drop under -10 degrees.

The car has been used for 40 000km already.

The longest stop between chargers is 210km.

On paper this should be fine, but considering that the battery performes worse in the cold, should I be worried?

I have been given the option to upgrade to a Tesla Model 3 or even a KIA EV6 for an extra €200, would it be worth it or is the ID3 enough?

The 45 kWh is a terrible charger (I own one) but I refuse to believe there’s a 210 km stretch without a charger there. Even the Tesla Superchargers are open to the public.
