I’m driving a Nissan 370z at the moment which I love in a lot of aspects but hate also in a lot of aspects.

Of course it’s a sports car. V6, great road feeling, power etc.

But I’m getting old and want something more comfortable that doesn’t take up a third of my salary every month.

I’ve been looking at a lot of different cars over the last few months and I’m now on the verge of buying an G20 320i Limousine sports line.

I really like the modern aesthetics, it’s very comfy and I like the fuel consumption. Of course it’s a lot slower than my Nissan and the emotions while driving are low because of the R4 but i want to spend less money on my car and still drive something nice.

I already looked up fuel costs, insurance, tax.

Something I can’t get costs of is the reliability of the car.

In my opinion a lot more electronic systems in new cars always have a higher chance to fail which kinda scares me. The B engine should be good, I read online the N engines did have quite some problems.

Are there any problems you know of I should watch out for?

2020 model, 80k km, 320i sports line for 28k € Plan is to put all weather tires on and daily it, 20k km/year

Stock photo btw.

Keep the 370Z, naturally aspirated v6 Japanese sports car is an underrated gem. You’ve probably had many years of minimal maintenance and fun.

As someone who has owned both BMW and Nissans, you will definitely regret owning any kind of BMW after the 3rd year. These are cars you lease for the tax deduction and give back.

My old boss drove a 7 series so I drove a 3 series to try and act like him. Dumb choice. I drive a 370Z now.

The cost of parts and labor are not the only issue with BMW, they’re full of plastic. Any 3 Series is a joke, just drive a Honda Accord.

That used BMW will be absolutely worthless in 3 years if you drive it as you described.

I know that my car is special and it feels amazing when driving it on empty roads. But I only have one car. And commuting everyday in traffic to work and back with a manual is not fun. Sadly I don’t have the money to keep the Z and buy some nice other car.

Only options I have is, keep driving the Z as daily.

Get a shitbox to commute and drive the Z on weekends

Or sell the Z and get a new daily where I can spend the Z money on.

Since I commute 60km daily I don’t want to sit in a cramped, uncomfortable small car.
