You’re gonna need to rotate the engine till the marks line to to be sure…
Had my timing belt, spark plugs,a/c compressor, n serpentine belt replaced. When i picked up car it was shaking/ vibrating alot while idle. so i took it back several times and they finally checked the belt…i asked the shop if the marks are suppose to line up , he said they did and he showed me a number 0 slot and another 0 and said it was aligned.
That doesn’t look like a new belt…
Are u serious!!!
You can’t tell it’s new just based off the picture. That could just be how the belt looks after “breaking in” for a while. It also looks similar to a belt I recently changed that had all these marks because I touched the belt with dirty hands and then the dirtiness spread around after being ran on the pulleys.
A new timing belt wouldn’t have wear marks on it. But this photo does…
the belt was changed in may. ive been driving it a bit since then.
Looks like that’s one tooth off. If the crank is lined up.
That’s what i thought n tried to explain, but it was hard.i had to use a translate app. I talked to the owner n he swore the marks were right
Is it firing on all cylinders?
