Hood won’t close on my 05. Looks like a spring is rusted to oblivion. looking to replace the latch and cable. Should I go with OEM or aftermarket?

I usually stick with OEM when I can, but in this case aftermarket should suffice.
My preference for OEM:
- If it contains microchips or electronic components, OEM only. (Exceptions apply for simple electronics like HVAC or door lock actuators).
- If it is directly related to safe operation, such as brake pads and calipers (not rotors), OEM only.
- If it requires very tight manufacturing tolerances, such as bearings, OEM only.
Everything else is usually fine to go aftermarket.
