Just went and test drove one, still not a huge fan of the blocky front. Just wondering if I’ll get over it, I’ve been saving for one and can almost justify the purchase.

My biggest takeaway from it is how exposed the front radiator is… is there a way to protect this from rocks? Seems like an expensive trip on the road if one hits it at speed.

This will be a never for me. It’s not just the “ungainly” design (it is subjective I reckon) but it totally lacks BMW Design DNA. 50 years from now, a quick glance at any E generations, people can tell right away it’s a BMW. This one unfortunately has more Japanese fast and furious DNA than BMW. Not to mention…. The weight!

Problem is the new generation/buyers. They dont know/care about what BMW used to be and what it represented. Now its all about M logos and popcorn exhaust with circus interiors and fake vents.
