I decline all but the manager insists on one of them alone specifically covering electronics (and everything else for 10 years). He says that the newer Toyota’s electronics are expensive to replace and commonly malfunction or break. I figured this is just pushing warranty, but he got to me mentally and broke my confidence in the brand.
Was this guy just trying to get me to spend more money, or is there truth in his tale?
That ten year warranty should have been around 2k. If u paid more u got hosed.

Good. Now look up ian rosentreter at wolverine toyota in michigan. You can buy the warranty from any dealer after purchase. Hes high volume and gives great prices. Just email him for prices. I bought two ten year warranties for less than half what my dealer wanted in nj.
This is probably something I should do towards the end of the standard 3 year 36,000 mile warranty right?
If you can afford it just buy it if you are planning to keep the car for that long. But yea u have time to decide.
