Went to tire shop to change a flat and told ‘em they couldn’t due to a missing socket (?). I understand it’s a wheel lock and I looked near my jack and glove box and couldn’t find anything. Do I need to order a whole new set at this point or is there another option? Thanks in advance!
They sell the keys at my local auto zone.
If you can find a 12 point socket that will go over it. Hammer it on and that will come right off 👍. Saves ordering a new key socket. And like someone else suggested, throw it away and put a regular lug nut.
Call toyota and give them your Vin . Number pay the 36$ and call it a day!
they’re port installed. they don’t attach the specific wheel lock number to the vin unfortunately.
I’d just like to point out you said vehicle identification number number
Go to Walmart. They have the keys in the auto section
Looks like the stock rim of my 04 rx330. I can borrow you the tool if your in Tampa. :)
Just take it to a Lexus dealer, they’ll have those laying around or if they don’t, they can order it for you.
Nothing a 17mm 12 point socket can’t fix
Just use a socket and hammer it on. Not pretty but it works.

Never go to that shop again. Lazy amateurs.
I got rid of mine after driving it off the lot. The stealership added it into my purchase. Over priced junk
They’re like $15 lol
Everyone’s already said it. These do nothing to stop anyone. Tire shops don’t wanna “ruin” them on you and a lot of times refuse to work on them.
Imagine you blew a tire and are stuck trying to put your spare one and can’t find this lock… your paying a massive tow bill now.
Just take the 4 of them off and replace as others have said. If someone wants your OEM rims they are gunna get them I promise this one shitty wheel lock is not stopping them
Could be with the jack, could be in the glove box, could be in the doors, could be hiding with the spare… Every time I’ve had to look for one of those they’re in a different spot.
Assuming you’re completely out of luck and your key is completely gone, any mechanic (Maybe not a tire shop) should have a box of turbo sockets that’ll take those right off.I bought a spare from autozone for $12.
Sound like incompetence shop.
